What is a clashing zodiac sign?

The six opposing pairs are Rat–Horse, Ox–Goat, Tiger–Monkey, Rabbit–Rooster, Dragon–Dog and Snake–Pig. The calendar shows the animal opposite the day’s branch. This traditional label alone does not predict a bad day for everyone born under that sign. Read the activity recommendations separately. A personal analysis requires additional information and rules.

What clashes with what?

The daily card shows the animal opposite the selected day’s earthly branch. On a Rat day it shows Horse; on a Horse day it shows Rat. The pairs below work in both directions. This is a property of the calendar day, calculated without asking for your birth details.

Does seeing my sign mean I will have a bad day?

This label alone cannot establish a personal event or certain misfortune. It describes a traditional relationship between branches, not a rating of a person. Read the activity recommendations separately and consider the practical circumstances of your plans.

Can a favourable day still have a clashing sign?

Yes. The general day quality, recommendations for a specific activity and clashing sign are separate fields. A favourable day can still advise against a particular activity. The green icon is a useful summary, but it does not replace the full daily lists.

Is the live clock showing the same clash?

The daily card uses the branch of your selected day; the live clock uses the current hour’s branch. Its harmony sign uses another pairing, 六合. The clock continues to show the present moment even when you browse a historical date.

How should I use the label when planning?

Choose a date and read the entry for your intended activity before considering the other symbols. Comparing a date with a personal birth chart involves more than a birth year. This website provides a general almanac, without a personal suitability score.

How do we select dates?

Daily data comes from lunar-javascript 1.7.7. The finder looks for the exact Chinese activity term in 宜 and excludes dates where the same term occurs in 忌 or a general prohibition appears. Results are chronological, without scores or personal adjustments. The detailed chart uses Joseph Yu’s published method for the daily flying star. Different almanac editions can disagree.

This almanac is a cultural and reflective guide, not a scientifically validated prediction. Do not base medical, financial or legal decisions on it.
